Your first appointment

Usually 30 to 45 minutes. Bring a list of your medicines and any recent X-rays.

  1. Step 1: Arrive and settle in

A short form about your health and the medicines you take.

  2. Step 2: Tell us what’s going on

What’s bothering you, and anything about treatment that worries you.

  3. Step 3: Examination

Explained as it happens. X-rays only if they’ll change a decision.

  4. Step 4: Options and costs

What we found, what we recommend and why, with a written price for each.

If you’re nervous

Many people are, often because of one bad experience years ago. You don’t need to explain or apologise.

  • A stop signal agreed before we start. Raise your hand and we stop.
  • Numbing gel before any injection, given slowly.
  • We say what’s about to happen before it happens, noises included.
  • Your first visit can be just a conversation.
  • Bring someone with you; they’re welcome in the room.

Sterilisation

Hepatitis B and C can spread through instruments that haven’t been properly sterilised. This is what we do between every patient.

  • Instruments cleaned, sealed in pouches and autoclaved between every patient
  • Needles, gloves, masks, bibs and suction tips used once, never reused
  • Chair and surfaces disinfected between patients
  • Sealed pouches opened in front of you
Do I need an appointment, or can I walk in?

It’s best to book, so we can give you enough time. If you’re in pain, call or message us and we’ll do our best to see you the same day.

What if I have a medical condition or take regular medication?

Tell us at the start: any medical conditions (diabetes, heart problems, high blood pressure, hepatitis), the medicines you take, especially blood thinners, any allergies, and whether you might be pregnant. It all stays confidential, and it changes how we treat you safely.

Start with an examination

Dr Hamza will examine your teeth, explain what he finds and discuss the treatment options and costs with you.
